beavers bend Fishing Report

so me and my buddy hit beavers bend this morning despite the rain, figured we might get lucky! it was patchy but the fish were biting. we started off with some topwater frogs and then switched to a wacky rigged senko when the thunder rolled in. landed 5 nice smallmouths, biggest was around 4lbs, such a fight! also caught a couple of trout, they were hitting on the silver spoons. the wind was chill, but the rain cooled it down so it felt nice, you know? we left just before sunset, soaking wet but so happy with the haul. if you can brave the weather, i totally recommend heading out there!!
