shuswap lake Fishing Report

cloudy and cool on the 23rd, but it was still a good trip! caught several rainbow trout, most in the 2-3 lb range. used my trolling setup. wind picked up a bit but didn’t ruin the day. kinda nice out there, even if it was cloudy. can’t wait to cook these up!

another overcast day on the 15th but figured why not. fished from the shore, only caught one small bass, kinda disappointing, but hey that’s fishing right? was using a flicker shad, but they just weren’t biting. still nice to be out on the water though.

overcast on the 14th, but I went fishing anyways. hit some schools of perch, was a bit slow but got a bunch for dinner. used a bobber and worm setup, classic style. love fishing in the cooler temps! got soaked in the rain but it’s all worth it.

partly cloudy on the 13th, so decided to give it another go. caught a nice lake trout, about 5 lbs! it was a fun fight, I was using a jiggin' spoon and it was awesome. the wind was low too, so I was able to fish without too much trouble. great day overall!

heavy rain all day on the 12th, such a bummer! but still hit the water early. managed to reel in a couple small picks before the rain got too brutal. used my old trusty spinner, really had to work to get any bites. the weather sucked but at least I got to practice my casting!
