powell river Fishing Report

May 24 - finally, a sunny day! part cloudy but warm, been waiting for this! took the boat out n caught 4 pike, all around 3 lbs! used a topwater lure, they were jumping like crazy! feeling good n can’t wait for my next trip!

May 19 - wow, what a wet n wild day! heavy rain showers made it tough, but I hooked into a big one! landed a 6 lb. salmon, my biggest yet! used a spinner and it was insane. my clothes were soaked but the adrenaline kept me going!

May 13 - another rainy day on powell river, but hey, fish gotta eat! got 2 nice rainbow trout, around 2 lbs each. used a bobber with worms, classic move! weather's been weird but I’m loving the challenge. met a cool guy who gave me some tips too!

May 11 - so woke up to some rain, thought it’d be a washout but nah! managed to snag a 4 lb. bass right off the bat using a jig. the rain cleared after a bit, n i ended up with 3 more. got soaked, but worth it! plan on coming back next week.

May 9 - went out again, but it was overcast all day. caught only 2 small salmon, 1-1.5 lbs, which was a bummer. tried trolling with my pink hoochie but they just weren't biting today. still nice to be by the water tho, hoping for better luck next time.
