nanaimo Fishing Report

so I hit the water at dawn today, about 5am. it was super misty and chilly, but I was determined. tossed out my favorite jig, a blue and white one, near the rocks by Departure Bay. first few hours were pretty quiet, but then boom! hooked a nice 5lb coho! felt like a monster when I was reeling it in. after that, caught a couple more smaller ones but they were still fun. weather was just perfect for fishing, even with that mist hangin around. left the lake around noon, soaked but happy. can't wait to go back again! tight lines everyone!
