kootenay lake Fishing Report

finally some good weather! hit up Kootenay Lake this morning with my friends. caught a bunch of cutthroat, around 2-3lbs each. used a homemade fly and they were loving it. felt like a pro out there! perfect end to the day watching the sunset on the water.

fished for a couple hours in cloudy weather today, not too much going on. ended up with a small brook trout, only about a pound. used a spinner but it was kinda slow. still, always nice to be out on the water, right? here's to hoping for a better day tomorrow!

man, all the rain made it tricky today. still went out and managed to get a couple bites but nothing to write home about. maybe 1 lb trout, just sad! but I ain’t giving up! my buddy caught a nice one though, I still got some good laughs. better luck next time!

back out on the lake today, weather was patchy but not bad. caught a nice silver on a blue spoon, it was about 3lbs. my buddy got skunked again, haha! must be the new rod he bought. anyway, great day fishing. can’t wait to go again!

ugh, today was rough! heavy rain hit like a ton of bricks, but I still went out. didn’t catch anything decent, just a few tiny perch. couldn’t even see where I was casting half the time. gave up after a couple hours, soaked to the bone. def need a better rain jacket next time.
