eastern lake erie Fishing Report

May 24th, another rainy day, but we tried our luck! only caught 2 little perch but had some fun casting around. light tackle with a simple bobber rig did the trick. didn't land anything big but just being out there was what mattered. always hopeful for better catches!

hit the lake on May 18th and it was a downpour! really heavy rain, we struggled but somehow I pulled in a decent 4 lb bass. used a black jig, had to really work for it though, but ya know, any day fishing is a good day, right?

fished on May 14th, oh boy it rained a lot! but we got some good action! caught a few nice lake trout, biggest was 7 lbs! used a downrigger with some spoons, worked pretty well despite the weather. we got soaked but it was worth it!

May 12th was straight up beautiful! sunny skies and calm winds, perfect for fishing. got to the spot early and caught 5 nice largemouths! biggest was about 6 lbs. was using a popper, they were smashing it on the surface. so much fun, can't wait to go back!

May 7th was a wet one, but we braved it! managed to get a couple smallmouths, around 3 lbs each. didn't think they'd bite in the rain but guess what? they did! used a green tube jig, worked like a charm. love the thrill, even in the rain!
