detroit river Fishing Report

fished in some misty weather today, was kinda eerie but cool! managed to reel in a couple of nice trout, about 2 lbs each. didn’t think they'd be biting but they surprised me. used a spinner and it worked like a charm. mist kinda cleared up by noon too, good times!

brr it was chilly out today! hit the river early but struggled with bites. caught just a few tiny fish before the rain kicked in. my hands were freezing! back to the warm coffee for me, might wait for the weather to warm up some more before heading out again.

man oh man, the rain was relentless today. didn’t think we'd catch anything but we got a few walleye despite the heavy downpour, around 3 lbs each. my rain gear was soaked, but it was worth it. we just kept at it, fished from noon till dark. what a wild day!

went out on the river today, weather was a bit gloomy but got lucky with a few nice catfish! kept hearing about patchy rain but it held off till later. used a stink bait that my buddy recommended. feeling good about next week, can’t wait for the better weather

awesome day fishing by the river yesterday. sunny and warm finally! got 5 nice smallmouth bass, around 2-4 lbs each. used live bait and a light rod, felt great. fished from about 6:30 till 1pm, just enjoying the sun. can't wait to go back this weekend!
