campbell river area Fishing Report

fished Campbell River again and even though it was drizzly, hooked a beauty salmon today! around 8lbs. used a blue and silver spoon, works wonders. can’t wait to hit the grill with this one! let’s go!

today was a total washout, but went out anyway. surprisingly landed 4 small perch! nothing to brag about but at least the sun peeked out for a bit, had a blast just being out on the water.

went out again today, got a small break from the rain, thank god. hooked into a couple nice cutthroat, about 3lbs each. tried out my new rod, a 7' medium action, felt great. i love fishing in this area!

ugh it rained all day but we pushed through. the bite was slow at first but finally got a nice 5lb rainbow! they sure made me work for it tho! used a pink powerbait, can’t complain about that! fingers crossed for better weather next time.

so we went out this morning, it was a bit chilly with that rain, but hey, caught a halibut that weighed in at 10 lbs! fishing with a 50lb line, can't beat that. back home soaking wet but super happy!
