gippsland lakes Fishing Report

cloudy day at gippsland today, didn't catch as much as I hoped. just a couple of undersized bream. tried a few spots but they were not biting well at all. maybe I need to switch up the bait or something. will try again next week!

what a wet day! went to the lakes and had some heavy rain showers, but the fish didn’t mind! caught 6 bream, they love the rain! was using small soft plastic lures and they were smashing them. got soaked but totally worth it.

today was rough! patches of rain rolled in but we kept fishing, ended up catching 2 solid cod. using live bait really helped, but the wind was a pain. still, these cod were hefty and made the struggle worth it! love that feeling when they bite.

had a lovely sunny day at the gippsland! we hooked into 8 really nice trout, just using some worms. it was a blast! fished around noon and the bite was on fire. perfect weather for a day on the water. can’t wait for next weekend!

got out to the lakes again, gloomy day with the patchy rain, felt like the fish were hiding. finally caught a solid 40cm estuary perch after trying all morning. using a spinnerbait, it was like a miracle! just need those fish to get hungry more often.
