wrightsville beach surf Fishing Report

man this rain is relentless! still went out for a few hours and managed to land a couple decent sea mullet. they were biting on fresh clam. not the best conditions but you gotta fish when you can!

cloudy and a bit chilly today but still got out there. caught a couple of small snapper, nothing big but fun day overall. used shrimp on a bottom rig. will try again when it warms up a bit!

partly cloudy day, went out late and caught a few nice keeper blues. they were hitting on the topwater lures! so much fun, felt like every cast was a bite. weather was great after the wind died down. going back tomorrow!

went surf fishing with the fam today, patchy rain but we managed to catch some nice pompano! used sand fleas as bait. the kids had a blast, even with the rain. nothing beats a family fishing trip!

heavy rain this morning but we set out anyway! soaked but caught a couple of nice reds, one was 25 inches! used cut bait and a popping cork. fishing was slow at first but once the rain eased up they started biting. worth the wet!
