new smyrna beach Fishing Report

had a wild day at new smyrna beach with some thunder rumbling in the distance, but it was still fun. caught a few black drum before the rain started pouring! my new rain gear worked wonders. thought we’d have to call it, but the bites were on until the sky opened up. good times!

finally a nice day to fish! sunny and warm at Daytona beach, caught a ton of little snapper! used live bait, they were everywhere. the wind was low, perfect for casting. felt great just being out there with the sun on my face! going to hit it again this weekend!

fishing was spotty today at new smyrna beach. we had patchy rain and i swear the fish knew it lol. still managed to pull out one nice trout on a DOA shrimp. wind was crazy too! brought my new rod and it felt amazing, nice feel on the line. can’t wait to go back!

had another go at Daytona beach and it was looking like a rainy mess. fished for a bit, caught a few nice blues! used some topwater lures, they were hitting hard. then we got a sprinkle (nothing too crazy). gonna try again tomorrow!

oh man, what a wet day to fish. we went out there in the heavy rain at new smyrna beach. i thought we’d get skunked but nah, i pulled in a nice 20-inch redfish! used my trusty spinnerbait. the rain cooled things down, i kinda liked it. the fish were hungry! made the day worth it!
