on May 17th, there were some rain showers but we went anyway. water temp was colder at 10.5°C. caught two small rainbows on a spinner, but the rain made it tough to see! still worth it, those fish always keep me coming back.
fished on May 16th, another overcast day and chilly at 7.9°C. not much action, but did manage to catch a little 10 inch brook trout on a small black midge. wind was light and made for a peaceful day on the water, just me and nature!
May 13th was a washout honestly. heavy rains all day, super wet. waited it out for a bit but only ended up catching a couple small brookies when the rain let up. temps were only around 9.7 °C. gear got soaked but hey, still love the river!
went fishing on May 12th, it was sunny and warm, 16.6°C. hit a sweet spot and pulled out a nice 20 inch rainbow! used a streamer pattern, they were hitting it hard! other anglers were doing well too, good vibes all around. loved it!
May 8th was awesome! weather cleared up a bit, partly cloudy and warmer at 12.5°C. caught my first cutthroat of the season, around 18 inches. used a dry fly - elk hair caddis. they were popping the surface! felt great to be out there.
