bighorn river Fishing Report

fished on the 22nd, overcast skies all day long but the fish were biting! caught 6 nice browns on a small minnow lure, couldn’t believe how active they were! honestly, just being out there made the day. wish I could do this every day!

the rain was on and off today but we went out anyway. caught a bunch of little guys, the biggest was around 14 inches. used a 3wt rod, super fun! overall a good day, just gotta love being on the water even if it rains a bit!

went out on the 16th, weather kinda ehh but fished anyway! few sprinkles but landed 4 decent rainbows on the dry flies. used a size 18 Adams, they loved it! even saw some hatching, which was super cool. will definitely go back soon!

yo, tried to fish today, but it was pouring out. got wet and cold but I did manage to catch a nice 16" rainbow before the rain got too heavy. used a spinner which was great for the fast water. had to pack it up early but hey, a fish is a fish!

decided to brave the patchy rain today, ended up with 5 browns! they were hittin’ on the nymphs hard. water was pretty chilly but felt good. also had a big one on but it broke my line, ugh! using 4x tippet on a 9' rod wasn't enough, guess I need to up my game!
