west lakes Fishing Report

went fishing on the 25th and it was super overcast. didn't think much would bite but ended up catching a nice 1.5kg cod! used a baitcaster with a jig head. kept it for dinner, tasted amazing! enjoyed the quiet vibes, really relaxing day.

heavy rain on the 24th but i went out anyways, got soaked but my rain gear helped! fished with a buddy, tried using spinners, managed to land a couple carp. wind was insane tho, kept blowin my line everywhere. we just laughed it off, good times!

man, was a cold one on the 19th. but hey, i still went out! got my gear ready with my trusty old baitcaster. used some worms, and bam! caught a few little perch, but nothing too big this time. real quiet, just me and the birds, still a nice way to spend the day tho.

sunny day at the lake on the 9th! finally some nice weather! got there at sunrise, and used a popper - caught a huge bass, like 4 lbs maybe? my best catch yet. super stoked! took some pics then released it back. felt great just chillin by the water. can't wait to go back!

hit the lakes yesterday, still rainin hard. fished with a buddy, got soaked but the fish were biting! landed a couple of nice redfin on soft plastics, around 30cm. wind was crazy too, but we managed to stay in one spot without blowin away haha. overall a good time!
