lake eildon Fishing Report

24th May 2025 - back at eildon and it’s overcast. still managed to pull out some decent trout, about 1.5kg. wind picked up at noon so it made casting tough. love the challenge though! can’t wait for my next trip out here.

19th May 2025 - OMG, freezing today at eildon! only caught one small redfin and was mostly just trying to keep warm. wind was a bit much too. i think i’ll wait til the temps warm up again before heading out.

13th May 2025 - beautiful sunny day! reached the lake at sunrise. i was targeting trout and hooked a big one, about 3kg! used a green lure and it was a real fight! even got a few other small ones. just love being out here in nature.

11th May 2025 - awesome day on the lake! caught a couple big bass, around 2kg each. used a topwater lure, they hit like crazy. started off chilly but warmed up nicely by noon. saw heaps of people around but the fish were biting! can’t wait for the next trip.

9th May 2025 - sunny day again, but colder than i expected! got out there early with my mate and we fished off the jetty. caught 4 nice catch, mostly redfin, and lost a big one at the edge. using a jig worked better than bobbers today.
