winchester bay Fishing Report

finally a sunny day out at winchester bay! couldn’t have asked for better weather, temp was cozy at 14.8°. we had a great time, caught tons of smallmouth bass, all on topwater lures. perfect way to end the month! let’s do this again soon, folks!

today was a struggle with the rain coming down pretty heavy at times, but decided to stick it out. caught some nice stripers, biggest was about 4lbs! used a jerkbait and man it worked like a charm. left soaking wet but totally worth it! 🐟

was out there on a rainy day and i usually hate fishing in the rain, but the bites were on! landed 3 nice crappies and even a couple perch. used my trusty old bobber with worms. weather can’t always scare ya off!

overcast skies but didn’t let that stop me. went solo to my favorite spot and had a slow start. finally hooked a big ol’ 6lb salmon! used a spinner, caught a few smaller ones too. feels so good when it pays off, I love this place!

what a day! went out with the guys for some fishing action, weather was maxin at 15° so we felt good. got a few good bites on the boat, ended the day with 4 keeper halibuts. best bait was just plain squid! can’t beat fresh catch, right? 😁
