twin lakes colorado Fishing Report

cloudy and chilly today at twin lakes, but the fish were biting! caught a couple of 3 lb rainbows, used some spinners and it worked like a charm. wind was crazy strong though, my hat flew off! but overall, a decent day. hope it gets warmer soon!

oh man what a day! thought it was gonna be a bust with all the freezing rain but i got lucky. landed a 6 lb brown trout! used a heavy rod and a minnow. even with the cold, it felt awesome to reel in that beauty!

went fishing on the 18th, weather was still pretty rainy but we found a few good spots. caught 4 tiny guys and lost a big one right at the shore! using a jig and some live bait. coulda been worse, just wish it was sunny out!

ugh! rain was relentless today, and temp was just awful. only got 1 small trout. used a worm and hook but can’t say it was a great time. wind really picked up too, just wanted to stay dry! definitely next time will be better.

partly cloudy skies today, finally! fished with a buddy and we were slayin’ it. got 6 nice cutthroat trout, all around 4 lbs. best lure was a gold rapala. wind was pretty strong tho, but it was all worth it! gotta love the lakes in leadville!
