toledo bend lake Fishing Report

it was a beautiful partly cloudy day! caught 5 striper today, all small but fun fight! used topwater lures at dawn when they were really active. spent the day just enjoying the scenery, can’t wait for the next trip!

finally had a break from the rain! cloudy but i got a solid 7lb largemouth today! used a black and blue chatterbait near the brush piles. felt really good to be out there, no wind made it nicer too. fishing is life!

another wet day, but i managed to get a few bites! caught a good size bluegill and lost another big one. used a small bobber setup and worms. not a lot of fish but had fun with the buddies, just chillin out!

yikes! today was wild with the wind and rain. didn’t catch anything but i saw some folks bringin in some nice trout by the shoreline. guess the heavy rain puts ‘em in a feeding mood! i’ll be back when the weather clears.

man the rain was heavy today! but i braved it and got 2 big catfish, around 5-6lbs each. used cut bait in the deeper parts of the lake. wind was rough at times but it was worth it. fishin in the rain is kinda peaceful.
