smith river Fishing Report

finally sunny on the 27th, perfect day for fishing! went with friends and we all caught our limit. i got a 6 lb. chinook, best part! used a bright red spinner, they were biting like crazy. can’t wait to do it again!

went out on the 25th in the mist, kinda eerie but so cool! got a few bites but only landed a small trout. still had a good time just being out there, love the quiet mornings on the water.

fished on the 22nd, still overcast but wind chill was okay. got one nice bass, about 3 lbs. used a black and blue jig, working it slowly. really enjoyed the peace out there, it’s my happy place!

a little rain on the 17th, but we went anyway and caught some nice ones! landed three on floating lures, couldn’t ask for a better day except maybe drier weather lol. all in all, a great day out there!

fished at smith river on the 14th. man, the wind was crazy! but i pulled out a nice 5 lb. salmon right before the rain hit. got soaked but it was sooo worth it. good old spoons did the trick today.
