May 25 was another day of patchy rain but I thought I’d give it a go! Temps around 12.1°C. Ended up finding a nice spot and snagged a couple decent catfish, maybe 4lbs each. Used stink bait, and boy, they were hungry! Wind was mild at 15.1 km/h. Overall, wet and wild times, but worth it. Can't complain!
May 19 was super cloudy and kinda cool, 8.2°C. Not great for fishing but still got out there. Caught a few dink perch, nothing to brag about. Used live bait but man they weren’t biting much. The wind kicked up to about 28.8 km/h. Felt like I was casting in a wind tunnel… ugh. Better luck next time!
May 13 turned out to be a pretty nice day despite predictions of patchy rain. The sun peeked through, temps around 18.7°C. We got into some nice smallmouth, all 2-3lbs. Used plastic worms near the rocks. The wind was chill too, only 19.1 km/h. Lots of laughs, good food, and some great catches!
May 1 was an all-out rain fest! Heavy downpours and I thought about skipping it but decided to brave it. Caught one nice walleye, about 3lbs - the rain didn’t seem to bother them at all. Used a spinner rig. Wind was calm at 18 km/h, which was a blessing. Just soaked to the bone by the end, lol.
April 30 was all misty and chilly, about 6.2°C. Could barely see but hey, that's fishing, right? I managed to get one decent bass, about 4lbs on a topwater lure, the mist made it kinda fun. Limited action tho, a few bites but they were playing hard to get. Still a nice day on the lake!
