housatonic river Fishing Report

wow it was COLD out there today! even with the rain, I went to check the river. didn’t expect much, and didn't get much either. just a couple of bites but my hands were freezing! guess it's still a bit early for the big catches.

back to the river, but the rain came down again. didn't catch much, but I did get a small perch. used a worm but they were a bit more sluggish today. just gotta keep tryin I guess. next time!

today was a blast! sunny skies and caught a couple of smallies, maybe 3lbs each. used a green crankbait, they were biting good. the river was alive today and felt great to be out there!

fished the housatonic this morning and it was a bit wet but I managed to hook into a nice 6 lb catfish! used chicken liver for bait, they were hiding in the brush. slow day overall but that cat made it worth it! ya never know what you’ll find out there.

finally, some decent weather! got out on May 15 and it was just lightly raining but still got a good 6lb catfish! used cut bait, and it was a nice fight too. looking forward to more days like this!
