american river steelhead Fishing Report

fished on may 24, back to overcast but still good! caught 3 steelhead, around 4-5 lbs each. used an old pink spinner, my secret weapon! caught a good one right before sunset, beautiful sight. overall very rewarding day out!

may 21 was another sunny day! caught a couple steelhead around 6 lbs, felt great! i swear these fish love the blue and silver spoons. river was a bit crowded tho, had to find my little spot. but fun times! gonna hit it again!

went back on may 18, still sunny but it was chillier. caught 4 steelhead, biggest was 8 lbs, nice fight! i was using a white and chartreuse jig, worked like a charm! lost one by the rocks tho, dang it! had fun with friends too.

may 15 was epic, sunny skies and steelhead everywhere! caught my limit, 5 total, biggest one was 9 lbs! used a silver rattletrap, they were chasing it like crazy. also met some cool anglers, had a great time exchanging tips!

fished in the warm sun on may 10, whoa it was hot! caught a couple steelheads, beautiful 7 lbs each. used a gold spoon, they seemed to love it! my friend caught a nice trout too, great day overall! sunburn tho, haha.
