river helmsdale Fishing Report

bit of patchy rain today but still went out to the helmsdale. caught 2 lovely salmon, used a green and yellow spinner. the wind was a bit annoying but manageable. still had a great time, can’t complain about being on the water!

sunny again, was feeling lucky. caught about 4 nice trout, biggest was around 4lbs. tried a few flies but the good ol’ bobber and worm setup did the trick. the river was steady, couldn’t ask for a better day!

finally some sunshine! went out with the boys, perfect weather at 10°C. hooked a few nice pike, biggest was 7lbs! used some topwater plugs which got 'em all riled up. nothing beats fishing with mates under the sun!

another overcast day, caught a 6lb salmon! was fishing by the bridge, used a black and gold spoon, worked like a charm. wind picked up a bit but it was still a blast. can’t believe how lucky I’ve been lately!

overcast weather, but the fish were bitey! got 5 grayling, all good size around 2-3lbs. used a light tackle with some worms I dug up. river was a bit high, felt great casting out there. loved every minute of it!
