owen sound Fishing Report

had a chill day out on May 18, partly cloudy and not too windy. I caught a couple of nice smallmouth bass, around 2-3 lbs. used a drop shot rig with some powerbait. can’t wait to head out again soon, loving this spring weather!

May 17 was a washout, heavy rain but we braved it anyways. caught a nice 7 lb pike which made it a memorable trip! using a spinner, it was a challenge with the wind but totally worth the thrill of the fight.

finally got a sunny day on May 12, weather was perfect! took my buddy and we caught a bunch of smaller bass, had fun tossing a crankbait around. also saw some really nice lakers jumping, wish we could’ve hooked one of those.

you wouldn’t believe the rain on May 5! poured all day but we still went out. ended up getting soaked but caught a 6 lb bass, it was worth it! used a jig, they seemed to love it in the stormy water. wild experience! lol

man, today was rough. overcast and windy, barely caught a thing. only pulled in a tiny trout after hours of nothing. tried a few different lures but they just weren't biting... maybe I should’ve stayed home.
